October Favourites!

Hi Lovelies!
Firs of all I want to apologize for the lack of posts, I have been really busy with Uni work and I haven't had any free time. I love blogging so hopefully now I am getting into the swing of my new routine I will find time to do what I enjoy.

So here are my October favourites ...

1. Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon - 04 Peach on The Beach
I have been loving this lip crayon this month, it's a lovely pinky colour and is perfect for a daytime look. It claims to last for 10 hours, I don't think I agree with that claim, but it does last a good while before you need to re-apply, and it I find it really moisturizing which is great as I have had really dry lips.

2. Maybelline Go Colossal Go Extreme Mascara - Leather Black
I am in love with this mascara! I think I like it more than Rimmel's Lash Accelerator - now that's saying something :') The brush is pretty big so it really covers each lash, but it doesn't clump and it's really long lasting.

3. Avon Ideal Luminous Blush - Russet
This blush from Avon is something I have been wearing everyday in October. Russet is a warmer pink/red shade which I think is a perfect autumnal colour. You only have to use a small amount as it is really pigmented.

4. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
After reading so many good reviews I decided to by this micellar cleansing water and I have been really impressed. It removes makeup well and leaves your skin feeling nice and refreshed. It's great as well for when you're feeling lazy and can't be bothered going through a full skin care routine :')

I usually include a song of the month at the end of my faves post, but today as I haven't posted in a while I thought I would make it up to you guys by creating an October playlist. It contains songs I have enjoyed listening to this month, some new songs, some old songs, and a few of my all time favourites, so I hope you enjoy it :)

Let me know in the comments what you guys have been loving this month, and what you have been listening to!

New Montagne Jeunnesse Mask Review

Hello Lovelies!
Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been super busy with starting uni and getting used to my new routine. So for today's post I thought I would ease back into things with a quick review of the new Montagne Jeunnesse Dragon Fruit Sauna Mask.

I am a face mask lover for sure, and I especially love the Montagne Jeunnesse masks. They are super affordable and a great way to relax and pamper yourself. My all time faves are Blemish Mud and Passion Peel Off, so I was excited to try out one from their new range.

I picked up Dragon Fruit Sauna at Wilko's and they haven't let me down! The mask smells so fresh and delicious, I wouldn't eat it though, I got some on my lips and I don't know why but I licked them and it didn't taste so good :') The heating aspect was nice too, it was very relaxing and really opened up the pores to get rid of any oil and dirt, so my face was left feeling extra clean.

Overall this is another great mask from Montagne Jeunnesse, and for £1 each they are a real bargain.

Thanks for reading guys. Be sure to let me know what your favourite face mask is in the comments and maybe tweet me a selfie of you wearing a face mask @SherbetLemons96 :)

My Top 5 Perfumes

Hello Lovelies!
Perfume is something I can't leave the house without wearing and I have quite a large perfume collection, so for today's post I thought I would share with you guys my top 5 perfumes.

5. Jimmy Choo
I really like this perfume, it has quite a woody/gingery smell and is perfect for wearing in the evening as it is quite a heavy scent. I also love the bottle, it looks very nice sat on my shelf.

4. Wonderstruck by Taylor Swift
I love a good celebrity fragrance, and wonderstruck is perfect. This is a great day time fragrance, it smells really sweet and fruity and is very girly. I wore this a lot during college, I think this is my 3rd bottle :')

3. Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose
This is a really fresh perfume and I think it's good for both daytime and night time as it's not overly fruity, it is quite floral. Again I love the bottle, it has a diamond pattern all the way around, just like the original diamonds perfume, but this bottle has a pretty pink tint to it.

2. Taylor by Taylor Swift
Taylor is faring well in my countdown as another one of her fragrances has made it into my top 5. Like Wonderstruck, this is another fruity perfume which I completely fell in love with when I first smelt it in Boots.

1. Lady Million by Paco Rabanne
Lady Million is definitely my favourite fragrance, it's just a classic. I'm sure you guys know what it smells like, and just like the male version, when someone walks past wearing it you automatically know what fragrance it is.

I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post, let me know in the comments what your favourite perfume is, do you have and love any of the perfumes I talked about?

Thanks for reading :)

My Dressing Table/Makeup Storage

Hello Lovelies!
If you have read my previous blog posts you will have seen parts of my dressing table in the background, so in today's post I am going to show you around and tell you how I store my makeup.

So this is my dressing table/storage/bedside unit. This unit has been in my room since I was little and I have recently organised it so the top drawer is makeup storage and the bottom 2 are general bit and bobs drawers.

In the center of my dressing table I have this crate of the products I reach for most. I bought this crate from Home Bargains for £2.99, it is meant to be used in the garden but I thought it was great for storing things in my bedroom. In here I keep my moisturiser, cleanser and toner, hair products and my brushes which I stand in old jam jars.

I also have this vintage style glass container which I keep my cotton wool pads in, and a glass dish which I got in France, in here I keep my baby lips.

Here is the  lamp which stands on my dressing table I recently bought it at Wilko for around £15. 00, I love the vintage stand and the button design, it's very cute!

So here is the drawer where I keep my makeup, it's not the neatest of drawers, it's what I would call an organised mess. This drawer organiser is from Ikea, I have had it for quite a while but i'm sure they will still sell something similar. It's really handy for sorting my makeup and makes finding things easier especially when I am in a rush. Let me know in the comments if you would like a more detailed post on my makeup collection.

I hope you enjoyed this post guys! If you have done a similar post showing us around your dressing table be sure to leave the link in the comments - I would love to see it :)

Kiko Haul

Hello Lovelies!
Today I am going to share with you guys my latest Kiko purchases, most of them were on sale so I picked up some bargains, and you guys know how much I love a good bargain :)

Rock Attraction Blush 02 Guitar Rose - £12.90 £4.00
I love this shade, it looks very natural so I have been reaching for it a lot. Also how fab is the packaging?! The design is amazing, and definitely stands out among all my other blushers.

Rock Attraction Blush 01 Pearly Rock - £12.90 £4.00
This is more of a highlighter than a blush, it gives a beautiful glow when applied. Both of the blushes I purchased are nicely pigmented and blend well, so they are really easy to work with.

Smart Lipstick 905 Red Coral - £3.90
This lipstick wasn't in the sale, but was still a great price. I was surprised by the quality of this lipstick, usually cheaper lipsticks aren't really that good, but this one is long lasting and moisturizing.

Extra Volume Lip Gloss 15 Pearly Beige - £6.90 £2.90
I never used to wear lip gloss, I was always a lip stick kind of girl, but recently I have been enjoying them. This is a nude gloss and a great edition to my collection.

Overall I am really impressed by the quality of Kiko, I will be purchasing from them in the future for sure! What do you guys think of Kiko, let me know in the comments :)

August Favourites

Hiya Lovelies!
Today I will be showing you what I have been loving the past month. August has been a pretty full on month. Here in the UK we had GCSE results day and A Level results day, so if you picked up results let me know in the comments how you got on! I got my A Level results and I did really well, so I secured my place at university to study Law. September is going to be an exciting month :)

So here are my August faves ...

1. Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder

I have struggled to find a bronzer that suits my complexion but this one from Essence is perfect. This is made for brunettes, and it's brilliant for contouring with as it is matte. In the past I have ended up with orangey/muddy streaks down my face, with this bronzer though I just take a little bit on my ElF contouring brush and it looks great, it's something you can build up. It also comes in a shade for blondes/light skin tones, and was only £3.50 from Wilko.

2. Maybelline Baby Lips Electro - Oh, Orange!

So the Maybelline baby lips electro collection recently launched here, and Oh Orange! is my favourite colour out of the three. It's a really wearable shade and it became an everyday essential for me in August.

3. Aussie Mega Shampoo and Conditioner

At the end of July I was having a real hair dilemma, my hair is really long and it was becoming unmanageable. This Aussie shampoo and conditioner has really helped though. They ensure you don't get build up leaving your hair feeling light and bouncy. I love the smell of this shampoo and conditioner too, and the fragrance seems to last longer than other shampoos I have used.

4. The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel

You guys know i'm a big fan of The Body Shop, and I love their shower gels. On my last visit I picked up this pink grapefruit shower gel for a change as I usually always go for the mango. I have really been loving this scent nearly as much as the mango, and that is saying something.

5. Music of the Month

Credit : http://goo.gl/USWv9F
As you know I always end my monthly faves post with my favourite song/album, this month though couldn't think of any new music I have been enjoying. But my love for Jake Bugg has deepened after watching his Reading and Leeds fest set. His albums, Jake Bugg and Shangri La, are just amazing! So if you would like, have a listen here.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, let me know what you were loving through out August in the comments :)

Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette Review

Hi Lovelies!
Today I want to share with you guys a recent purchase of mine the Essence All About Nude eyeshadow palette, which I picked up in Wilkinsons for just £3.50!

This palette contains 6 beautiful shades, including some shimmery, some matte and some metallic.  Each pan is rather big too which is just amazing for the price. The packaging is nice and simple, as I always mention I feel lower end brands go overboard with their packaging which makes the product look cheap, but Essence has kept it clear and it is nice to see the product. Despite it being plastic, the palette feels sturdy and it is on the smaller size too, so it's perfect for putting in your bag and taking out and about.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the shadows, they are nicely pigmented and easy to blend, but I think they work better when a primer is applied first. Overall this product is great for everyday, even using one shade across your lid just adds a little extra to your look, and at £3.50 you just can't go wrong.

Here is one look I created using this palette...

Essence also has 3 other versions of this palette which I would love to try out, you  can view them here.

I hope you all enjoyed this review, and I would like to thank you for continuing to read my blog and leaving such lovely comments :)

The Inbetweeners 2, A Miracle and 100 Followers | My Week #1

Hello Lovelies!
Today I thought I would try a new style of post, I'm going to be talking through some of the things I got up to during the week. So I hope you enjoy!

Credit : http://goo.gl/eb5mgn

So this week I went to the Cinema to see The Inbetweeners 2. For those of you who might not be familiar, The Inbetweeners is a British sitcom which follows the lives of 4 teenagers, it ran for 3 seasons and in 2011 the first movie was released. So we have all been waiting a long time for the sequel. This time we saw the lads travelling around Australia, and as usual they were getting themselves into trouble and treating us to classic inbetweeners banter. I really did enjoy the movie, a few people said it wasn't as funny as the first one, but I thought it was better - I was literally crying with laughter. It was much ruder though, so I guess if you are squimish or easily offended The Inbetweeners isn't something you would enjoy. I hope this isn't the end like it has been suggested, let's hope we will get a 3rd movie or another series? If you have seen the movie let me know what you thought in the comments!

This week I found 2 miracle products in The Body Shop, and I couldn't wait to share it with you guys! I picked up the Tea Tree Facial Wash (£5.00) and the Tea Tree Blemish Gel (£6.00) as I had a pretty bad break out on my chin. All of the gels and creams I have used in the past have never really done anything, so I wasn't holding out much hope with these products, but I was very surprised. I have been using the face wash and gel for about 5 days now and my spots have practically disappeared, so I would recommend these 2 products for sure!

This week I also came across a great band on YouTube, their name is Little Sea and I have fallen in love with their EP 'Wake the Sun' - it's been on repeat all week. If you like pop/rocky music you will love them so check them out here!

This week I was also nominated for another Liebster Award, so you can read that post here. This is my 3rd Liebster award and it really means a lot, so a big thank you to Rebecca! I would love it if you could go on over to the blogs I nominated and give them a follow, they are all great and I would love it if you could support them too!

Finally, earlier on today I hit 100 followers! I guess to some people 100 followers doesn't seem a lot :') But to me that's huge, I think there was 100 people in my year at school! I never thought 100 people would be interested in and follow my blog. So thank you everyone, it really means a lot! I hope you all continue to enjoy reading my blog ...

Liebster Award #3

Hello Lovelies!
I have been nominated for another Liebster Award, so a big thank you to the fabulous Rebecca from http://rsperrink.blogspot.co.uk/ her blog is great so you guys should go on over and check it out :)

The Rules

1. Link back to the person that nominated you
2. Answer all the questions that you are given
3. Choose 11 bloggers with less than 200 followers to nominate
4. Pick 11 questions for them to answer and let them know.

Rebecca's Questions
1. In your opinion what is the best way to remove make up?
Well I use a cleanser to remove my make up, then I use a toner.

2. Waterproof mascara or regular mascara?
I definitely prefer waterproof mascara, especially with the rainy weather we usually have, mascara running down your face and around your eyes isn't a good look :')

3. What is the best beauty product out there?
That's a difficult question! I couldn't really say because I haven't tried everything out there, but the best product I have tried is the Revlon Colourstay foundation.

4. Is there one item of food or drink that you think can help improve your appearance (e.g. skin, eyes, hair)?
I'm no expert but since I have been trying to drink more water I have noticed my skin has been a lot better.

5. Which beauty products are worth spending more money on?
I think foundation is something worth spending more on, the more expensive brands tend to give better, long-lasting, coverage. But I have found some good cheaper alternatives, as I love a bargain, I recently tried an Essence foundation and loved it (I will review it soon!)

6. How long do you think you will be blogging for?
I have never really thought about when I will stop blogging. Hopefully it's something I will continue to do for a long time. It will be cool in the future to look back and see what I was loving when I was younger :')

7. What kind of response have you had to your blog?
Everyone has been lovely about my blog, I always get sweet comments and people seem to enjoy reading my posts :)

8. What is the best thing about blogging?
Getting to talk about what I love with people that share the same interests. But above all the people, there are so many lovely people that read my blog and leave nice comments, everyone supports each other.

9. Is there a downside to blogging?
There isn't a real downside, sometimes I don't have enough time to get my posts out eg. may this year :') , and I felt really bad, you have to get your self all organised for sure.

10.  Do you have any tips or tricks that you would share with your younger self about make-up?
Experiment more, find those colours that suit you and have fun with make up.

11. Have you ever had any embarrassing hair/fashion/make-up moments?
Nothing that really springs to mind, but i'm sure I wore some bad clothes when I was younger!

I nominate:
1. Grace - Grace'd
2. Olivia - Legally Couture
3. Sophia - Makeupower
4. Ruth - Beauty Billboard
7. Amie - Amie Talks
8. Jessica - The Modern Girl
9. Millie - Millie Grace
10. Catharine - Live Life Out Loud
11. Rachel - Routine Beauty

My Questions:
1. If you won the lottery what is the first thing you would do?
2. Which decade would you most like to live in?
3. Do you have a fashion/style icon? who is it?
4. What is your favourite budget/drugstore beauty brand?
5. What is your favourite season?
6. If you were to move to another country, which would you choose?
7. What would be your dream job?
8. Do you prefer the city or the countryside?
9. Do you have a celebrity crush? who is it?
10. Name 3 singers/bands that would be in your dream festival line up?
11. What was your last beauty purchase?

I would like to say a huge thanks to Rebecca and everyone who reads my blog. It would really mean a lot if you could go on over to the blogs I have nomiated and support them, give them a follow or leave them a nice comment! This is my 3rd Liebster award, so I really want to give back and support other bloggers :)

Thanks again guys,

July Style Crush : Fearne Cotton

Credit :  http://goo.gl/WHXeWu
Hello Lovelies!
Happy Sunday :) Today I am bringing back my monthly style crush post, in it's previous short life I struggled to get the post out with my monthly faves post and I ended up ditching it. But it's back, and with a little organisation this post will be up the day after my faves post! I really enjoy doing these posts and I hope you enjoy reading them.

So looking back at July Fearne Cotton's (Radio 1 DJ and TV presenter) style really stood out to me. I always love what Fearne wears and she is definitely  one of my style icons, but this month I think she has dressed really well for the British summer. Here are two of my favourite looks ...
Fearne Cotton arrives at the BBC Radio 1 studios in London, England - 16 July 2014
Credit : http://goo.gl/aEOX06
Fearne looks bang on trend wearing her ripped jeans and a lovely white top with lace detailing. I love white shirts as they appear fresh and crisp, perfect for the warmer weather we have been having here in Britain. Finishing off the look Fearne sported another one of this seasons trends, a pair of chunky silver sandals. She accessorised with a small black sidebag and another one of my favourite pieces, over-sized tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Fearne Cotton spotted outside BBC Radio 1, London, 22 July

Here is another one of my favourite looks. Fearne looks great on her way to work, teaming a short sleeved floral shirt with dark chino trousers, again a lovely smart/casual outfit perfect for the warmer weather. Fearne then wore jeweled leopard print sliders, another one of summers trends. The look was complete with a large navy tote and those lovely sunnies.

Here is how I would replicate the look ...

I hope you all enjoyed this post :) Let me know in the comments whose style caught your eye this month ...
