Secrets of Blogging Tag

Source : http://goo.gl/49Ew0O
Hello lovelies!

I was tagged by the fab Sophie from So Bright and Beautiful to do the 'Secrets of Blogging' Tag, so thank you lovely!

1. When did you start blogging and why?
I started my blog on the 12th February 2014. I had been reading beauty/lifestyle blogs for a while and I thought it looked fun so I finally decided to start. I loved the fact blogging enables people to voice their opinions and help others too. Also I really wanted a new hobby with having to leave dance as it was really draining me, and I found blogging to be a relaxing activity and a way of getting to know new people :)

2. How many people in "real life" know about your blog?
I haven't told anybody about my blog. I don't really know why, I think i'm a bit like Sophie, she says she would be a bit 'self-conscious' if everyone knew.

3. What are you favourite posts to read?
It has to be review posts. Before I buy any product that's new to me, I have to read a review to know if it is worth spending my money. With the beauty blogging world being so big, there must be a review for almost every product now days :)

4. List a blog you have discovered recently
http://dustella.blogspot.co.uk/ , written by Pauline. She has just started her blog and she did a fab first post about Chanel's Perfection Lumiere, which I really enjoyed reading. You should all go on over and giver Pauline a follow!

5. Which posts are you most proud of?
April Style Crush : Kate Middleton - I got such great feedback from you guys on this post. I loved doing it and recreating one of Kate's fab looks.

6. Any advice for future bloggers?
I would say don't be scared, everyone in the blogging community are so lovely and supportive. I was really nervous of what other bloggers would think, but everyone is so nice so take the plunge and start your blog.

I am tagging - Laura from Miss Laura Bora , May from La Vie en May , Floor from Floors World and all of you guys reading this!

Thanks to Sophie and everyone who continues to read my blog, it means a lot :)

100 Things That Make Me Happy! (1-10)

Credit : http://goo.gl/KAFkDI

One. Revising super hard for an exam and it paying off, as you walk out feeling confident.

Two. Listening to your favourite band/singers new album after waiting so long for it to be released. If you're like me you just listen to it over and over :')

Three. When it starts staying lighter for longer in the evenings and you know summer is nearly here.

Four. Getting into a really good book, and not wanting to put it down. I fall in love with the characters and can easily finish a book in a day or two.

Five. Arriving back home after a stressful day, getting into my pajamas and putting the kettle on for a cuppa.

Six. Whilst on the subject of cups of tea, the lighting speed reactions you develop when you run to get a spoon after your biscuit falls in, and feeling superhuman when you get it out in time before it disintegrates at the bottom of your cup.

Seven. Singing! I think I have mentioned this in another post, but singing makes me so happy. I cant sing well at all, and my family always tells me to shut up because I am literally singing all the time. I walk down the street singing to myself ... I am convinced I was a singer in a past life.

Eight. Buying new stationery. When you have a love of stationery you know studying has completely taken over your life. But how good is the feeling of writing on the first page of a new note pad in multi-colour gel pens?!

Nine. Hearing the sound of the ice cream man, then running out to get the usual 99er with sherbet and sauce.

Ten. Sunny days! Here in the UK the weather is rubbish most of the time, so when we get sunny days it's kind of a big deal. The shorts come out along with the BBQ's, and I spend all day outside. Feeling the warmth of the sun is fab.

NOTD : World Cup Inspired

Hello Lovelies!
With the World Cup kicking off yesterday in Brazil I thought I would get into the spirit of it all, so I painted my nails in the England team colours. I'm not a huge fan of football but you have to support your national team, and all my family are footie mad so we will be watching.

For this look:
- Firstly I just painted my nails in a white varnish
- Secondly I used a sponge to dab on the red varnish
- Lastly I used he Avon nail art brush to paint on the red St.Georges cross

Are you excited for the World Cup? Who will you be cheering on? Let me know in the comments, and if you create some team inspired nail art I would love to see the pics on twitter :)

Empties #1

Hello lovelies!
This is the first time I have done an empties post, but I have been keeping my used up products to one side and today I am going to go through them with you.

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara - So I had never tried this mascara, and after reading so many reviews I thought I would give it a try. I have really short lashes and this mascara did make them appear longer, but I found it clumped them together and was really difficult to remove. I wasn't keen on the shape of the wand either as I ended up with mascara on my eye lid. Overall I wasn't completely sold by the product.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - I really liked this foundation. It gave a good coverage and the shade '100 ivory' was a perfect match for my skin tone. I thought the packaging was nice too.

Clearasil Daily Clear Skin Perfecting Wash - I enjoyed using this face wash and would certainly purchase it again. The microbeads gently exfoliated without being too harsh on the skin, and the product smelt really fresh, and left my skin soft and cleansed.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer - I was really impressed by the Healthy Mix foundation, and I was impressed by this concealer too. It definitely brightened my under eye area and covered blemishes well.

I hope you enjoyed this post guys, if you have used any of these products let me know your opinions in the comments. Also I just want to thank you guys for continuing to read my blog, it makes me really happy! :)

Mini Beauty Haul

Hi Lovelies!
Today I thought I would show you guys some products that I picked up when I was out shopping. I still had a gift card left that I had got for my birthday, it was one that could be spent in most high street shops so I thought it was really cool. Most of the time I receive clothes shop gift cards and I loved the fact that I had more choice, so obviously I decided to spend it on makeup.

Sleek Blush - Flamingo
I LOVE this colour, its a shade I have been after for a while now and this one is very pigmented. I like the nice big mirror in the compact too, so it is great for putting in your bag when you go out.
Sleek Blush - Pomegranate
This has become an everyday blush for me since it really suits my skin tone. It has beautiful plum undertones, and just enough shimmer.
Sleek Lipstick - Barely There
I am loving wearing  a nude lip at the moment, so I bought this Sleek lipstick. It is a nude going into a dusky pink, and I feel it really moisturizes my lips.
The Natural Collection - Water Guard Mascara
So I had like £2.00 left on the card therefore I picked up this mascara for £1.99 to use it up. I didn't really have high hopes with it being so cheap but I was completely shocked. I get the same results using this as I do with the more expensive products. For an everyday mascara I usually spend around £10 on it, so I am definitely going to be saving my money in the future. I actually went on the Boots website to read what other people had to say about this product and other people were shocked to, for an everyday mascara this product is great.
MUA Lipstick - Bare
In Superdrug I bought another nude lipstick. I love MUA lipsticks, they are extremely affordable since they are only £1, and for the price the quality is fab.
MUA Blush - Bubblegum
I have never tried a MUA blush before but I picked this up on the 3 for 2 deal, again this was just £1 so I think you can never go wrong with MUA, they have to be one of my favourite drug store brands.

I hope you guys enjoyed today's post, have you ever found a cheap drugstore product that shocked you? Let me know in the comments.
